Follow along as we build our next custom home The Kathleen. This new custom home will be built in the subdivision of Ross Trails located in Ross Township Butler County Ohio. First we cleared the land of trees and brush located on and around the job site, the basement was then excavated and concrete footers poured.
After the footers were installed gravel was spread throughout for a basement and garage slab base then foundation wall forms were lowered in, set up in place with steel installed throughout. A concrete pump truck was used for foundation walls to ensure a consistent pour.
After 24 hours the foundation forms were removed, the footers and walls were swept clean and then foundation walls were waterproofed. After waterproofing 6” perforated drain tile was installed throughout the interior and exterior of the footers connected to a sump pump crock and gravity drain.
1” gravel was then installed 2+ feet over the exterior drain tile. 2’ of styrofoam insulation was also installed on the interior foundation walls prior to gravel.
4’ felt was installed over the gravel to keep dirt out letting water run through prior to foundation backfill. Up next is rough basement plumbing, the basement and garage slabs will be poured, the walkout area of the basement will be framed and then steel beams and columns will be installed prior to framing the house.
Thanks for taking the time stopping by our job site and we look forward to seeing you on the next phase of this project. Proudly serving Ross Township, Okeana, Morgan Township, Millville, Hamilton, Oxford, Fairfield, Crosby Township, all of Butler County along with a portion of Hamilton County and South Preble County.
